This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17. Created attachment 670064 [details] original pdf file (exported from LibreOffice Writer) Description of problem: Trying to print some files I'm getting weird results - some characters are shifted to the left or right from their correct position (as displayed on screen). I've narrowed down the problem to poppler, I can easily reproduce it by running a pdf through the pdftops command (which is used in cups pipeline). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): poppler-0.18.4-3.fc17.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. pdftops input.pdf Actual results: see the attachments see e.g. the word "stříšku" where "Ř" and "Í" are too close to each other the comma after "vchodem" touches the "M" in "může", "M" and "Ů" are connected the period after "2" isn't visible as it looks like a part of the "2" and so on ... Expected results: all files rendered the same Additional info: trying to convert the same file via pdf2ps from ghostscript, it works, the characters in the resulting ps are placed correctly
