issue occurs with our patched version of smartGWT 3.0

setting severity to URGENT (this is a blocker *if* we want IE9 support in JON 3.1.2)

Just to be clear the "patch" being discussed here is really the fix which was originally put in for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=889194 ?

Looks like bug 889194 was backed out on 01/08. Bug 889194 was moved to MODIFIED but I am not sure if it made CR2 or not. 

Mike, can you confirm that this should be ON_QA for verification in CR02 or CR03 and update status and target milestone accordingly?

The milestone for 889194 determines this milestone as there are no commits for this particular BZ. 

This is CR02.

QE, we need to confirm that this issue does not exist for IE8 as of 3.1.2.CR2.

verified under IE8 (windows server 2003 SP2) with JON 3.1.2CR3 version - Dashboard portlets are loaded correctly for both view and Edit modes, new portlets can be added to Dashboard, new Dashboard can be created.
