Description Kevin L. Mitchell 2000-01-28 05:49:40 UTC
Well, one, I couldn't find a convenient place to enter feature request--
bugzilla is pretty bug-specific. Second, and the feature request: I
would like to see support for IPv6 in the base, as-shipped distribution;
I know Sun does this with Solaris, and I'm sure more and more people
will be wanting to experiment with it. If this is already possible (I
know the kernel has the necessary support, though it's not compiled in--
how about net-tools?), it would be nice to have at the very least
resource links on the web page, if not more in-depth documentation. I
can probably puzzle this all out on my own, of course, but I suspect
others will also be interested in this kind of information.

IPv6 support is enabled in net-tools-1.54-2 and iputils-991024-2 from Raw Hide.
Support will be added in the kernel and other packages as appropriate.
