[root@marte named]# rpm -q bind

[root@marte named]# service named start
named: already running[root@marte named]#


Also, please add a '\n' after displaying already running message.

I suspect this is a known bug that is fixed in the 2.4.20-9 kernel.

This is a known bug to be fixed by the first kernel errata.
