Description lwpiotr 2013-01-15 12:58:40 UTC
Created attachment 678766 [details]
output from var log messages

Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 18 kernel 3.7.2, also the previous kernel 3.6.x

How reproducible:
Boot on a hardware with this device - the wired connection does not apear in ifconfig or Network Manager

Expected results:
Normal connection on wired ethernet.

Additional info:

To install the driver I followed the instruction give on http://fedoraforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=5&p=128844
The driver compiles, modprobe succeeds and the interface appears and tries to connect, however DHCP fails and there is DHCP timeout (this cable connection was tested and working on other device).

We aren't providing or supporting the alx module as of yet. When we do, we'll close the bug I'm duping this one to. In the meantime, you might contact the alx authors directly for help.
