Reproduced when there's no free space at all on /boot: # dd if=/dev/zero of=/boot/test bs=1M # fedup-cli --network 18 See bug 896144. Try fedup-0.7.3-5.fc17, currently in the updates repo. Does that give a more useful error message? Hi Will,
This was with fedup-0.7.3-5.fc17.. See below:

This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17.
