Description of problem:
Though the old installer may not have been the newest sleekest looking thing it worked very well. When I wanted to arrange my partitions a certain way I could see and change the partition table with ease. I could do whatever manipulations I wanted. Create, delete, resize, format, move, anything. Now this is no longer the case. While trying to make friendly abstractions to simpify partitioning is admirable there comes a point where trying to simplify things beyond their simplest form merely introduces complexity. I can no longer do partitioning with the kind of transparency and ease that I used to be able to do before with previous versions of Anaconda. Also forget Anaconda. Just about any other partitioning tool I used whether text based, curses based, or GUI based was substantially easier to use than the current partitioning tool that Anaconda now provides. I also wrote a more elaborate description of the problem on a Diaspora post. Unfortunately by elaborate I partly mean quite profane for which I do apologize. However this is pretty much reflective of exactly what I was thinking at the time. I'm an experienced Linux user and by no means new to partitioning. If these changes were unintuitive enough to throw me off chances are these are a near insurmountable stumbling block for less experienced users trying to get their feet wet with Linux via Fedora.
