Description Marco Nolden 2013-01-21 12:03:08 UTC
Description of problem:
Nothing special, it happens in the background when a pdf is stored somewhere, e.g. Desktop
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/evince-thumbnailer from 'name_bind' accesses on the udp_socket .

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that evince-thumbnailer should be allowed name_bind access on the udp_socket by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep evince-thumbnai /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Daniel Walsh 2013-01-21 20:27:57 UTC
I don't believe we want thumbnailers communicating over the network.

Comment 2 Marco Nolden 2013-01-21 20:47:42 UTC
Additional info: it's a NFS-mounted home directory and I enabled use_nfs_home_dirs

Comment 3 Daniel Walsh 2013-01-21 20:48:12 UTC
