Description Craig 2013-02-03 02:48:52 UTC
The ipa-client package is missing a required dependency on RHEL5

As seen in the logs;

Feb 3 00:55:30 puppet-agent[16252]: (/Stage[main]/Ipa_client/Exec[ipa-client-install]/returns) There was a problem importing one of the required Python modules. The
Feb  3 00:55:30 puppet-agent[16252]: (/Stage[main]/Ipa_client/Exec[ipa-client-install]/returns) error was:
Feb  3 00:55:30 puppet-agent[16252]: (/Stage[main]/Ipa_client/Exec[ipa-client-install]/returns) No module named OpenSSL
Feb  3 00:55:30 puppet-agent[16252]: /usr/sbin/ipa-client-install --mkhomedir --realm=domain.com -w xxxx -U --domain=domain.com returned 1 instead of one of [0]
Feb  3 00:55:30 puppet-agent[16252]: (/Stage[main]/Ipa_client/Exec[ipa-client-install]/returns) change from notrun to 0 failed: /usr/sbin/ipa-client-install --mkhomedir --realm=domain.com -w xxxx-U --domain=domain.com returned 1 instead of one of [0]

Comparing installed OpenSSL RPMs between the working system (RHEL6) and the non working one showed that pyOpenSSL was missing.

Running 'yum install pyOpenSSL' fixed the issue.
