Description of problem:
Why can not be enabled in the main repository libtxc_dxtn? This package now in the repository rpmfusion-free. This package provided gl_ext_texture_compression_s3tc for all free drivers. This is needed for run good games such as steam games, and browser games.

This package is in rpmfusion for legal issues.

Software patents, Fedora is US-based. I think you can google this and find answers pretty easily (e.g. Wikipedia).

I found yet another solution "force_s3tc_enable=true steam". What difference between "force_s3tc_enable=true" and installed "libtxc_dxtn" package?
