Create an empty 40 GB disk image:
$ qemu-img create f18-test-4.img 40G
Start installer from DVD:
$ qemu-kvm -m 2048 -hda f18-test-4.img -cdrom ~/xfr/fedora/F18/Fedora-18-x86_64-DVD.iso -vga qxl -boot menu=on -usbdevice mouse
Complete a default, minimal install.
Reboot into installer.
Proceed to Manual Partitioning.
Expand Fedora Linux 18 for x86_64.
Click Root.
Expand Customize.
Check Reformat.
Enter 30000 for Desired Capacity.
Enter "/" for Mount Point.
Click Finish Partitioning
Click Begin Installation.
Exception occurs at Preparing to install:

Description of problem: Simple upgrade, with kickstart, except for the partitioning. In 'reclaim', I attempted to shrink the / - FS from 12 to 8 GB. That's all.
