Description of problem:
When applying carry over damage the colossus server often hangs when running recent java updates. Upstream has found a cause for the issue and has a proposed fix. It isn't known why the recent java updates have been having issues with this bug when the earlier versions didn't.

* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing colossus-0.13.2-4.fc18'
as soon as you are able to.
