Description Mildred 2013-02-14 16:00:10 UTC
Description of problem: 0install fails when it needs to rely on PackageKit because it can't talk with it. The API has changed. The new API is incompatible with the previous one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
zeroinstall-injector-1.13-1.fc18.noarch

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. 0alias 0compile http://0install.net/2006/interfaces/0compile.xml
2. 0compile autocompile http://mildred.fr/2012/0install/Trojita.xml

Actual results:
Can't satisfy dependency for http://gfxmonk.net/dist/0install/qmake-qt4.xml (which requires PackageKit)

Expected results:
Dependency satisfied

Additional info:
A stack trace can be triggered by running 0install run http://gfxmonk.net/dist/0install/qmake-qt4.xml (although I don't know what it is supposed to do). The error is:

DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such method `GetTid'

It has been reported on the 0install mailing list and the version 1.14 supports the new PackageKit API: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.zero-install.devel/6629

Apologies; an F18 build has been done but not yet pushed. Could you verify that this work?

Will push the update in a few minutes, please up-karma it then if it works for you.
