Description David Jaša 2013-02-15 13:49:56 UTC
Description of problem:
accept password when launched from cli (via stdin for example)

spicec used to have -w PASSWORD option that made it possible to pass all connection information just via CLI. This is not possible in remote-viewer and that makes some use cases harder to implement. The spicec way of CLI option wasn't good though because the password is displayed in process listing.

One of the ways this can be implemented cleanly is that of "password file" that would contain the password. Or alternatively, r-v could accept options on stdin that are inconvenient to pass via command line option (e.g. CA certificate) in some agreed-for format.
