Yes, I see this too. For me, it seems to be connected with using and freeing looots of memory, after running vms, building images etc.

Very annoying.
Also: it seems just to stop screen switching via keyboard shortcuts.
When selecting running firefox on another screen via Windows and search firefox it works nearly instantly.

I was pointed to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=735599#c29 which might be related. (Outdated mozjs)

Experiencing the same.
As a workaround I do "gnome-shell --replace &" every other day. That messes up the window positioning a bit but brings things back to speed.

Same here after upgrade to f18.
Alt+F2 and 'r' reverts speed back to normal but messes up my windows.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining

I see a log of bug reports with similar symptoms; trying to isolate the cause and identify duplicates...

Do you see high CPU usage?  High memory usage?  Do you use Google Chrome?  Do you use the Gnome Weather extension?

Fedora 19 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-01-06. Fedora 19 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

These days the very same is happening on RHEL8. No matter how much RAM is free, no matter how low the load is, after a while changing workspace determines  the efficiency of work.
