Description Mat Booth 2013-02-19 09:34:56 UTC
Description of problem:

Some packages are failing to rebuild with this error:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-remote-resources-plugin:1.4:process (default) on project commons-logging: Execution default of goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-remote-resources-plugin:1.4:process failed: Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-remote-resources-plugin:1.3 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failed to collect dependencies for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-remote-resources-plugin:jar:1.3 (): Failed to read artifact descriptor for org.apache.maven.shared:maven-artifact-resolver:jar:1.0: The repository system is offline but the artifact org.apache.maven.shared:maven-shared-components:pom:12 is not available in the local repository. -> [Help 1]

Here is a rawhide scratch build of one of the affected packages:

I am aware of these issues and I have already fixed several packages.
Thanks.

Comment 2 Mat Booth 2013-02-20 09:54:31 UTC
Thanks Mikolaj. I am no longer seeing the above error, but I am now seeing the dependency resolution error in bug #913059

Thanks for the info. There were several related problems. We'll keep the bug open until we are sure that all bugs were resolved.

I believe all these bugs have been eliminated. Closing. Nevertheless, if you encounter this bug again, feel free to reopen.
