Description Vojtech Szocs 2013-02-19 17:10:15 UTC
There might be cases when WebAdmin or UserPortal web page is rendered in Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer, instead of using Standards Mode. For example, the user might use "Compatibility View Settings" dialog to control which pages are rendered in Compatibility Mode (e.g. intranet sites).

However, both applications depend on Standards Mode. Trying to render both applications in anything other than Standards Mode will break (mess up) the entire UI. Internet Explorer should be therefore forced to render both applications in Standards Mode via X-UA-Compatible meta-tag.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use "Compatibility View Settings" dialog to make IE render WebAdmin or UserPortal web page in Compatibility Mode
2. Request WebAdmin or UserPortal web page in IE
3. Rendered UI is broken (messed up)

Comment 2 Vojtech Szocs 2013-02-19 17:14:23 UTC
This BZ should be tested for *both* IE9 and IE10 to ensure no regressions with regard to "IE=edge" (use highest available Standards Mode in IE).

Comment 3 Vojtech Szocs 2013-02-19 17:25:27 UTC
As suggested by Alona, we should also test Drag'n'Drop functionality in IE10 (e.g. network configuration dialog).

Comment 7 Jiri Belka 2013-03-22 14:21:37 UTC
Drag&drop in 'Setup host networks' is not working in IE8 (xp sp3, w2k3 r2) and IE9 (w7 64bit). IE10 (w8 64bit) is OK. Although all browsers were in standard mode.

Comment 8 Itamar Heim 2013-03-23 18:14:21 UTC
drag and drop issue is covered by bug 884905

Comment 9 Jiri Belka 2013-03-25 08:41:18 UTC
OK, sf11 (issues with IE8/9 as they do not support HTML5 fully).
