Since using fedora've missed that this simple feature is enabled by default in Fedora.

It becomes very annoying that every time you make a Fedora installation, restart the settings or try a live cd, I instinctively clip touching the touchpad (I instinctively taste repeatedly until I remember to enable that option).

I wonder why that is the case, since both Windows, OS X and other distros GNU / Linux this feature is enabled (and may be less confusing for new users to first create that something does not work)

I think this small change would be very beneficial.

We don't do changes to the upstream defaults in Fedora. If you want to discuss this feature, please file a bug against gnome-settings-daemon at https://bugzilla.gnome.org.
