/var/log/rsync\.log.* -- gen_context(system_u:object_r:rsync_log_t,s0) We currently have labeling for rsync.log not rsyncd.log 44782682654014f0e2f0a116eb357aee63cbfdbf fixes this in Rawhide. Backported. selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 18. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18 Package selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18' as soon as you are able to. Description of problem: Selinux is blocking the rsync process from opening and probably writing to its own log file. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): selinux-policy-targeted-3.11.1-79.fc18.noarch How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info: Can work around issue by, setsebool -P rsync_full_access on, but do not believe this is what we want for a solution to this issue.
