Description of problem:
Selinux is blocking the rsync process from opening and probably writing to its own log file.

Additional info:
Can work around issue by,  setsebool -P rsync_full_access on, but do not believe this is what we want for a solution to this issue. Did check the label on the log file and it is correct.

/var/log/rsync\.log.*	--	gen_context(system_u:object_r:rsync_log_t,s0)

We currently have labeling for rsync.log not rsyncd.log

Package selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing selinux-policy-3.11.1-82.fc18'
as soon as you are able to.
