Description Sergio Basto 2013-02-21 23:15:21 UTC
Description of problem:

After upgrade to Fedora 18, scrool bar doesn't work in screen under a konsole, but works in a gnome terminal

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
konsole-4.9.5-1.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:

open a konsole , type screen , under screen

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a konsole
2.type screen
3.type some lines of text
4.try use scrool bar to get first text typed

Actual results:
doesn't work scroll bar will be complete and mouse scroll button moves history of command line

Expected results:
works like in Fedora 17 , after open a screen , scroll bar will shrink and we can use scrool bar to see text that is not in konsole.

Additional info:

gnome terminal doesn't have this problem.

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-12-21 11:36:22 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '18'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be
able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

I'd like have a solution to get back scroll with mouse directly in screen with konsole
like I wrote gnome terminal doesn't have this problem.

Comment 3 Sergio Basto 2014-01-13 19:55:00 UTC
After upgrade to Fedora 18 (2013-02-21), scrolling stops works, yesterday I notice with a F19 as client of my F20, after run screen on client and drop connection .
konsole still behaves like in screen. Mouse scroll button moves history of command line instead scroll bottom .
I run reset to fix the problem .
So I think after all is screen fault.
