This BZ is created to hold all the information of the original BZ, and allow the current change to be merged. This will introduce configurable timeout keys for connection, so changing the default values will resolve the original BZ.
The current change will not change existing behavior (thus not resolving the original issue) but includes code changes to allow such a change. So the original BZ will only handle changing the default connection timeout to something which will resolve the problem.
Note that within this scope we do not support changes to the default values of the new keys.
