Description of problem:
Installing syslinux-tftpboot creates all files in /tftpboot.
TFTP aemon by default runs from /var/lib/tftpboot.

Package syslinux-tftpboot should change the directory holding all the files to /var/lib/tftpboot/.

Bug is present in syslinux-tftpboot-4.05-4.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install syslinux-tftpboot and xinetd/tftp-server
2. Enable tftp server in /etc/xinetd.d/tftp or with systemd's tftp.socket
  
Actual results:
Files are not served through TFTP, the directory /tftpboot is not "standard"; all the served content should reside under /var/lib/tftpboot, as defined in the tftpd server default configuration file.

Expected results:
syslinux-tftpboot should install all files under /var/lib/tftpboot.

Additional info:
Same bug is present in Fedora 17, 18 and 19/rawhide.

I was just going to report this, but found this existing bug report. This a long-standing bug, with a trivial fix. Why does this keep slipping past QA? Since syslinux-tftpboot is useless without tftp-server, I would have thought that somebody would have bothered to check that both packages would agree on a location to serve files from.

This bug still exists in F21.

However I think the right solution is probably to just drop the syslinux-tftpboot pacakge entirely, since both /tftpboot and /var/lib/tftpboot are really out of bounds for packages. It would then be up to the admin or some other program to copy the images into the right place as needed.

But it *would* be very nice if the images in /usr/share/syslinux could be split into their own noarch subpackage, like syslinux-tftpboot is now. That way the images would be available on all arches for packages that want to serve them up.

Fedora 27 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2018-11-30. Fedora 27 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
