fresh install at customer site.

Minimal updating, none forced, none nodep

RPM database corrupted

I followed the outline at http://www.rpm.org/hintskinks/repairdb/

link to tarball wiht files summarizing the effort and so forth will be sent by
private email

Note there are 2 omissions on the page you refer to.
1. Redhat 9 always seems to give a (harmless) error when rpm --rebuilddb is run.
2. You should use /usr/lib/rpm/rpmdb_verify rather than db_verify for RedHat 9,
as rpm uses a later db version than is in the db package.
