Description Alexander Todorov 2013-03-20 13:32:46 UTC
Description of problem:

The redesigned hardware catalog listings don't allow the user to filter by keys such as "all software virtualization platforms" or "all hardware partitioning platforms".

If I didn't know that RHEL was supported on Hyper-V there's no way to find out. I would search for vmware only. Similarly I had no idea that Fujitsu and Hitachi had hardware partitioning platforms, so I would have searched for IBM POWER and System Z only.

Figuring out all supported sw virt/hw part platforms took me quite a few time digging around various resources on redhat.com.

change of the list.cgi could add this functionality

Currently. CWE provided query by vendor, product, category and keyword.
Any combination of conditions is possible. I think it meet the need. doesn't it ?

btw: the major hardware catalog list function was moved to portal.
