Description amturnip 2013-03-23 13:43:23 UTC
Description of problem:

A SELinux sandbox program that used to open Firefox in a sandbox window does not open the sandbox window, nor Firefox, anymore.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

$ rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/bin/sandbox

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:

$ /usr/bin/sandbox -X -t sandbox_web_t -W /usr/bin/metacity /usr/bin/firefox

Actual results:

This message: "Unable to switch to root to clear tmp dir"

Expected results:

Window opens with Firefox in it.

Additional info:

I do not see any corresponding messages in /var/log/messages or /var/log/secure

Fixed in policycoreutils-2.1.13-59.fc18

Also you should not need metaticy any longer since we have moved to openbox and firefox seems to work fine with it.

Also eliminated bogus "Unable to switch to root to clear tmp dir" message
