Noting typo in "Description of problem". That should read "cursor does show and move but clicking of mouse does nothing". Further, kernel version is 3.8.3-103.fc17.x86_64. Noting that I narrowed this down to something in GNOME 3. Ultimately worked around by switching host to more stable CentOS. This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '17'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 17's end of life. Created attachment 717167 [details] X log file after -HUP of Xorg process & attempts to use mouse clicking Description of problem: Host was upgraded from Fedora 16 to Fedora 17. After upgrade and booting into X, cursor does show and mouse but clicking of mouse does nothing. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I have tried the following versions of xorg-x11-server-Xorg and xorg-x11-server-common: 1.12.4-6, 1.12.4-2, 1.12.0-2. How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot system to X login screen 2. Try to click mouse on items 3. Actual results: Clicks do not do anything Expected results: Clicks to work Additional info: I have attached the Xorg.0.log generated after -HUP'ing the Xorg process and attempting to click with the mouse.
