Description Brian Lane 2013-03-27 23:38:32 UTC
%post uses utilities that are provided by coreutils, but since it isn't a requirement texlive may get installed before the tools are available.

Comment 1 Adam Williamson 2013-05-21 20:22:28 UTC
Ping? This isn't a theoretical bug: the %post scripts of all texlive packages fail on this during most/all live image composes, which presumably means texlive on the live images is somewhat broken. We really ought to fix it before F19 final.

fix for the bug

As near as I can tell, this patch against the texlive package git should fix this. I would run the abomination against God that Jindrich has constructed to generate the spec file and then commit the change and do a build, but I don't think I sacrificed the right breed of chicken, so it doesn't work for me. I'll leave it to Jindrich to push this, make his peace with his creator, fire up his doomsday machine and submit a build...

I've just spent several hours diagnosing a broken live image build, and discovered that this bug is what I've hit.

Is there any movement on this, Jindrich? F19 is shortly to hit final and this is a simple fix to something very broken...

(It's serious enough that if texlive were included in the live desktop image then it would be a blocker for F19 release.)

Thanks, all.
