I just followed instructions for the first problem on http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/poppler/2012-October/009631.html.
I've been trying to reproduce this problem: https://retrace.fedoraproject.org/faf/problems/589949/.

* was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
