Description Michal Jaegermann 2013-04-05 17:35:58 UTC
Description of problem:

When logged on an ssh session to a remote after a shutdown/reboot command one expects to see:

Connection to yyyyy closed by remote host.
Connection to yyyyy closed.

and a shell prompt back. That may happen or a cursor may get away and a connection is stuck until '~.' is used to terminate that session. Apparently something shuts down a network before closing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
That may happen when connecting to the current rawhide system and to Fedora 18 as well. This is not entirely new phenomenon but relatively recent. It seems that rawhide now behaves better in this respect but this could be just a luck of a draw.

How reproducible:
Now you see it, now you don't.

Additional info:
Granted, in this context this is rather a PITA than a serious issue but it may get somewhat annoying.
