SCX-4200 should be supported in SpliX [1], please install splix package and try again. I'll add the printer's device-id to that package next week so it'll be installed automatically when the printer is connected. http://splix.ap2c.org/ splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 19. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19 Package splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 19 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-5146/splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19 then log in and leave karma (feedback). I'm having better luck with foo2qpdl on samsung devices that support QPDL. splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19.x86_64 helped but for the second plug For the first plug I got: Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.579622] usb 1-8: new high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-pci Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.701478] usb 1-8: New USB device found, idVendor=04e8, idProduct=341b Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.701505] usb 1-8: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.701524] usb 1-8: Product: SCX-4200 Series Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.701541] usb 1-8: Manufacturer: Samsung Apr 10 14:58:23 localhost kernel: [ 1086.701558] usb 1-8: SerialNumber: 8T21BFGQA00101W. (In reply to comment #5) > The second was better but still there are some failures. Has the printer been configured ? Does it print ? > Isn't there some other problem? Seems similar to bug #911727 (In reply to comment #6) > > Has the printer been configured ? Does it print ? Yes as I wrote it helped. I mean the printer had been detected but configured after second plug-in and I was able to print on it than. Could you please try this systemd update and report back whether it has any effect? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=922279#c6 https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/systemd-201-2.fc18.1 (In reply to comment #8) > Could you please try this systemd update and report back whether it has any > effect? > > https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=922279#c6 > https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/systemd-201-2.fc18.1 I will try that once I get home. I will report the result than. splix-2.0.1-0.17.20121128svn.fc19 has been pushed to the Fedora 19 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
