Same problem on VMWare 9, Fedora 19 alpha 32-bit guest. Please let me know how to gather the required information (e.g. stack trace) for inclusion.

I was actually able to successfully install by using command line installer and VNC. The Anaconda GUI was visible and usable from my host (Fedora 18) machine.

However, the guest now goes straight to command line on startup. Logging in and running startx shows the Gnome desktop briefly, then X crashes.

boot -> command line login: reproducible always
startx -> brief GUI desktop -> crash to command line: reproducible always.

Fixed (somewhat) with latest kernel 3.9.0.301.fc19.
Now startx provides a stable GUI.

Also happens with Fedora-19-Alpha-TC4-x86_64-DVD.iso on VMWare Fusion 5.0.3.

"Fedora-19-Alpha-TC4-x86_64-DVD.iso"

You're using the wrong thing. You want *Beta* TC4.
