Description Jules Stuifbergen 2000-02-19 14:38:40 UTC
in my SVGA section:

Device "NeoMagic (laptop/notebook)"

in the fbdev section:

Device "Generic VGA card"

using XFree86_FBDev as a server did not work with these settings.

Workaround: replace the "generic" line with the "neomagic" line.

Comment 1 Matt Wilson 2000-07-11 22:17:40 UTC
I don't think that changing the device is the right way to fix this.

What laptop, and were you using 6.2 final?

Comment 3 Trond Eivind Glomsrxd 2000-07-29 18:03:57 UTC
Neomagic cards should work correctly without attempting to use the framebuffer,
so I close the bug.
This might be related to one of the prereleases which did use it.
