Description Heiko W. Rupp 2013-05-02 10:14:53 UTC
Go to a folder in the inventory tree that forms an auto-group (e.g. cpus if you have more than one).
Right-click on the folder, select metrics, then a metric and add it to a dashboard.
Go to the Dashboards. This specific portlet is empty. Clicking on the the gear shows that the group is not recognized.

As per the conversation:

mtho11 For me for RHQ 4.7 it would also ok, to disable adding auto-group metrics to the dashboard, as they work for normal compatible groups.

I have disabled the right click from resource tree for autogroups to add dashboard graphs as we are release 4.7 any moment and the real fix is quite a bit more risky.

Turned off the autogroups right click menu to create dashboard graphs from resource tree as the full fix for this is risky given we are releasing 4.7 straightaway.
