The offending patch https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2013-May/msg00171.html Patch sent upstream for review: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2013-May/msg00180.html (In reply to comment #2) > Patch sent upstream for review: > > https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2013-May/msg00180.html This seems to have been firmly NACKed :-( v2 fared better: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2013-May/msg00242.html I pushed the v2 patch to Rawhide so I can get libguestfs built. It's also been pushed upstream as commit 2ffd87d8204c209b81610b56ee5161ae71b58b8c as well as into the upstream v1.0.5-maint branch. Setting the version to f19 so bodhi can close this bug. libvirt-1.0.5-2.fc19 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 19. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/libvirt-1.0.5-2.fc19 Package libvirt-1.0.5-2.fc19: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 19 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing libvirt-1.0.5-2.fc19' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-7401/libvirt-1.0.5-2.fc19 then log in and leave karma (feedback). |
Created attachment 742788 [details] build.log from libguestfs Description of problem: I tried to build libguestfs today in Rawhide, but the tests show basic failures in connecting to libvirt (using qemu:///session): libguestfs: opening libvirt handle: URI = NULL, auth = virConnectAuthPtrDefault, flags = 0 libvirt: XML-RPC error : Failed to connect socket to '/builddir/.cache/libvirt/libvirt-sock': No such file or directory libguestfs: error: could not connect to libvirt (URI = NULL): Failed to connect socket to '/builddir/.cache/libvirt/libvirt-sock': No such file or directory [code=38 domain=7] libguestfs: clear_socket_create_context: setsockcreatecon failed: NULL: Invalid argument [you can ignore this UNLESS using SELinux + sVirt] libguestfs: trace: launch = -1 (error) FAIL: guestfs_launch For the full log, see the attached file. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libvirt-devel-1.0.5-1.fc20.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run just about anything involving libvirt & a user session in Rawhide. Additional info: See attached file.
