Description Vitezslav Humpa 2013-05-06 08:02:40 UTC
Description of problem:
As an update to #902830 gnome-font-viewer now doesn't segfault. However trying to get --help(or -h) out of it leads in font viewer looking for font stored in /home/user/--help . This is not a correct behavior. I believe all binaries in /usr/bin/ should be able to provide --help.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-font-viewer-3.8.0-1.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
"$ gnome-font-viewer --help"

Comment 1 Matthias Clasen 2013-05-10 18:02:34 UTC
This is not very high on the priority list. The fix would come in the form of automatic support for --help/--version in GApplication, see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699893

Comment 2 Vitezslav Humpa 2013-05-13 07:57:38 UTC
As it no longer segfaults, I agree this would be fine.

Comment 3 RHEL Program Management 2014-03-22 06:52:03 UTC
This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 5 Matthias Clasen 2015-05-01 04:02:55 UTC
Easy upstream fix post 3.14.0 that we can trivially backport
