Description David Balažic 2000-02-21 09:43:53 UTC
text mode install from CD.
At the LILO configuration screen it says :

Device | Partition type
-------------------------------
/dev/hda1 DOS/Windows
/dev/hda6 Linux extended <-- ?????

Why is there 'Linux extended' ?

fdisk -l output : ( simplifyed )
 partition ID System
------------------------
 hda1 b WIN95 FAT32
 hda2 82 Linux swap
 hda3 5 Extended
 hda5 b WIN95 FAT32
 hda6 83 Linux
 hda7 b WIN95 FAT32
 hda8 6 FAT16
