Description drago01 2013-05-14 10:40:45 UTC
Description of problem:

Is there any reason why we don't enable gstreamer support? Upstream does not in official builds (yet) because they worry about the presence of the libraries on target system. On fedora we don't have to worry about that so can we build with --enable-gstreamer ?

Comment 1 Jan Horak 2013-05-14 14:12:37 UTC
Firefox supports only gstreamer 0.10. While 0.10 is no longer supported. You can check progress on gstreamer 1.0 port here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=806917

Sorry, we're not going to build Firefox against unsupported gstreamer. When gstreamer 1.0 patches will land we'll build with gstreamer 1.0 ASAP.

OK, fair enough.
