This happens to me on x86_64 Fedora 19, both with the package and with a self-compiled spring 94.1.

Comment 12 Simon Geard 2013-07-08 09:38:43 UTC
Started a Spring game - either directly from the terminal, or from the SpringLobby client. A blank full-screen window appears briefly before the application exits.

I'm currently trying to reproduce it on two different F19 machines.
Please post your hardware configuration.

output of "dmidecode"

Comment 16 Ulf Klaperski 2013-07-10 20:28:25 UTC
I just added the output of "lspci -v" and "dmidecode" on my system. Do you need more?

Note: it says "driver: nvidia", but it was nouveau before, so that doesn't make a difference.

Comment 17 Simon Geard 2013-07-12 13:09:47 UTC
My hardware is a desktop machine about 2 years old... six-core AMD Phenom processor, onboard Radeon 4250 graphics, 4Gb memory. It's an F18 installation that's been upgraded to 19, standard drivers. The game worked fine on F18... or at least, as fine as any game works on that graphics chip...

I can be more precise if needed... not sure how much detail you wanted.

Comment 18 Gilboa Davara 2013-07-15 06:11:01 UTC
Thanks for the info. Testing...

Comment 19 Gilboa Davara 2013-07-15 06:32:13 UTC
Reproduced on an nVidia machine.
Working on it.

Package spring-94.1-3.fc19:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 19 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing spring-94.1-3.fc19'
as soon as you are able to.
Please go to the following url:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-13114/spring-94.1-3.fc19
then log in and leave karma (feedback).

Comment 24 Simon Geard 2013-07-17 11:25:20 UTC
I've left karma as requested, but just to echo here, that update works fine for me. I've only done minimal testing (a few minutes), but the game loads and starts without any problems.
