Description of problem:
As of PulseAudio 1.0 and later the AC3 Passtrough should work with Totem but it does not seem to work for me. My setup is as follows

1. In pavucontrol, I have checked the AC3 support in advanced settings
2. In pavucontrol, the output device is set to Digital Output (S/PDIF)
3. In totem preferences, I have Audio options set to use AC3 Passthrough
4. In pavucontrol, playback tab, the only stream present is System Sounds - can't get rid of it but I guess that's how it's supposed to be. I have muted the system sounds in Gnome sound settings panel.

Attempting to play a video file with AC3 audio stream still does not seem to switch to passthrough mode - it play just in stereo mode.

Should passthrough the AC3 stream to the receiver as is.

it should work out of the box.

It works well when playing using mplayer with alsa output.

This message is a notice that Fedora 19 is now at end of life. Fedora 
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 19. It is

more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes 
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fedora 19 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-01-06. Fedora 19 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.
