Previously when configuring the admin password on the Security page, the system would confirm mismatching passwords. For example, entering 'test one' in the Password field and 'test' in the Confirm field would configure the password as correct when Save was clicked. The validation has been changed so that mismatched passwords are no longer accepted and an error message is displayed: "Passwords Do Not Match", also, the Save button is disabled.

Also can reproduce it in rhev-hypervisor6-6.5-20130222.0.auto1707.el6.iso, so need clone it from upstream bug Component to downstream Component in order to also track it in rhev-h The patch attached to this bz is merged in 3.0.1. Is there more that needs to go in? Yes, the patch attached was basically to limited. The relevant upstream patches are: d809cfd451bee7855380c3ceb5ef69cd59b8bb96 0b53b178e8eb3aba160bc7dc508005b1189ba76c ff63a614397b556906ba3986a61e27b8014a5d47 Test version: rhev-hypervisor6-6.5-20131017.0.iso ovirt-node-3.0.1-4.el6 Enter Security page and configure admin password, input "redhat" into the item of "Password" and "red" into the item of "Confirm Password", it will prompt that "Passwords Do Not Match" info. Also Save Button is disabled this bug has been fixed, change the status into "VERIFIED" This bug is currently attached to errata RHBA-2013:15277. If this change is not to be documented in the text for this errata please either remove it from the errata, set the requires_doc_text flag to minus (-), or leave a "Doc Text" value of "--no tech note required" if you do not have permission to alter the flag.
