on gramps 4.0 i'm getting this error.

Huh.  This wasn't happening for me when I update to 4.x, but is now.  Investigating.

Updating rawhide to 4.0.1, confirmed that this does NOT fix the issue.

just tested 6807_b.patch - it works.
