MANWIDTH=72 man 7 futex | grep -A1 'necessary'
>       Any futex operation starts in user space, but it may  necessary

I am not native English speaker nor expert on futexes so will rather not
suggest my correction (actually I can come with at least two), but
currently the sentence seems not to be all right.
