Description of problem:
  When a new kernel is available, the kmod-wl is not updated, resulting in failure of Wifi Communication with the Broadcom STA driver.

Package "akmods" is installed.

I filed by error this as a Rawhide bug 985062, should have been Fedora 19 !

Please file this against whomever you got the wl kmod from.  Fedora doesn't provide or support separate kernel module packages.  The kmod component in bugzilla is for the module-init-tools replacement.
