Description Tom McKay 2013-07-17 19:53:25 UTC
The UI shows an editable text field for description but the entered values in the Description field are not saved. Does not work for either System or Distributor

Cannot reproduce it every time so would like to have additional information on this bug.

Comment 2 sthirugn@redhat.com 2013-07-30 20:21:06 UTC
FWIW I saw this happening today in activation key also

Comment 3 Payal Godhani 2013-08-05 14:33:02 UTC
Seems the new systems pane got the bug fixed. Not able to reproduce it in the new systems pane.If anyone is able to reproduce please list down the steps in here.

Comment 5 Jeff Weiss 2013-08-13 21:55:12 UTC
I am able to reproduce this 100%.

1) Register a system to Library env via API or CLI or RHSM (not sure if env matters)
2) Go the systems page, click the system in the left hand column.
3) Click the description field
4) Edit the text
5) Click save

Result: field goes back to read-only, with the original value. Changes are lost.

Note, that if you try to edit the text again without navigating away first, it *will* work. But for me, every time that page is loaded fresh, the in-place edit will fail.

Version: 1.4.3-1.git.184.4109578.el6 (today's master)

Comment 6 Adam Price 2013-09-05 16:01:16 UTC
seems to be fixed

Comment 7 sthirugn@redhat.com 2013-09-06 04:58:57 UTC
FAILED. I am able to reproduce as per Comment 5 above with one change. This is what I did:

1) Register a system to Library env via API or CLI
2) Go the systems page, click the system in the left hand column.
3) Click the description field
4) Edit the text
5) Click on Save slowly...(to exactly reproduce this issue, click the button for 2 seconds or so)
