This issue has been addressed in Fedora-18 (mysql) and Fedora-19 (community-mysql) via the following security updates:

According to upstream data, this was fixed in MySQL 5.1.69.  MySQL packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 were previously updated to version 5.1.69 via:

Statement:

This issue was addressed in the package mysql55-mysql as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 via RHEA-2013:1330. This issue was addressed in the package mysql as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 via RHSA-2013:0772.
