Description Stanislav Ochotnicky 2013-07-26 12:52:40 UTC
Description of problem:
JNA upstream changed license from LGPLv2+ to dual license with ASL 2.0. It might be good to note that file src/com/sun/jna/WeakIdentityHashMap.java was taken from apache-cxf project (pure ASL 2.0).

This means ASL 2.0 license has to be included when distributing binary/source.

I have filed a bug upstream: https://github.com/twall/jna/issues/252

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-09-16 14:51:20 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 20 development cycle.
Changing version to '20'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 2 Fedora End Of Life 2015-05-29 09:13:22 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '20'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fixed in jna-4.1.0-8

Comment 6 Mikolaj Izdebski 2015-06-12 03:31:36 UTC
I believe that this bug is fixed in jna-4.1.0-8,
which is available in Fedora Rawhide, so I am closing this bug now.

The build containing the fix can be found at Koji:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=645190

This bug was fixed in the next release of Fedora, and is not planned
to be fixed in the release it was filed against. If you want this bug
to be fixed in updates for Fedora 21, please say so in a comment.
Otherwise you can update to the newer release of Fedora to get the fix.
