According to the RHEL 6 Deployment Guide, installing httpd is as easy as running: yum install httpd Is there any more to it than that? In the case, machine is subscribed to BaseOS RHEL channel(s), I agree it is so easy as you mentioned above. Topic 24405 has been created to cover this and added to the Admin and Config guide immediately after the ZIP installation method.
