I had tested on CentOS 5.* and CentOS 6.* the USB 3.0 driver could be auto mount by system. and i tested USB 2.0 extern drive. it also could be auto mounted by Fedora 19. I am very unhappy, why USB 3.0 could not auto mount. This isn't a usb_modeswitch problem, it's possibly a kernel issue but then you don't report the kernel version. Have you tested the latest 3.12.x kernels? Looking at the logs the usb device is detected but then resets, it could also be a HW issue (does it have enough power for example). *********** MASS BUG UPDATE ************** This bug has been in a needinfo state for more than 1 month and is being closed with insufficient data due to inactivity.
