Description a.galley 2013-08-21 00:56:17 UTC
GNOME > Activities > Show Applications > Frequent

works well and displays icons for those Application launchers
saved with "Add to Favourites;

GNOME > Activities > Show Applications > All

displays nothing (black screen), Application launchers cannot
be seen. The fields exist because right-click produces the
bubble "Add to Favourites", but no icons can be seen. Live DVD
run produces the same result.

A work-around has been to install "Application Finder" (along
with the rest of the XFCE desktop) and add the launcher
to Favourites.

The best work around is to select "Troubleshooting" and
then "Start Fedora Live in basic graphics mode" when
booting the DVD. Basic graphics mode is best for basic
motherboard chip.
