Description Kevin Clevenger 2013-08-21 21:24:08 UTC
Description of request:

Need to compare the differences in bonding information but can only see one at a time. Maybe pop-up panels for bonding information will help address this if multiple panels can be opened up and compared. Currently, user has to examine one, close, find the other object, open, examine, close and find the original object again for further examination.

Hi Kevin,

Could you elaborate on the usage? On when it's needed to compare bonds? Is it to configure a bond the same way that others are configured? And do I understand correctly that you're referring to comparison between two different hosts, or just two different bonds on the same host?

Lior.

Hi Lior,

Here's the feedback from the customer:
It is extremely useful to reference an existing RHEV Hypervisor when building a new one. So we are comparing 2 different hosts.

The reason I'm asking is because there's a feature that might be coming in 3.4, in which a host template could be created from a host, and then other hosts could be created from that template and have exactly the same configuration (networking and otherwise) as the original host.

Would that obviate the need for this RFE? As they could be created from the same template, thus ensuring that their bonding configuration is identical?

Closing old bugs. If this issue is still relevant/important in current version, please re-open the bug.
